In The Life Atlanta and the Atlanta march organizers are calling for at least 200 Black, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, SGL, Transgender, Two-Spirited, Queer and Questioning folks and their supporters to join us on our march from the historic Martin Luther King, Jr. Center to Georgia's State Capitol.
Why are we doing this?
- We stand up to save our lives.
- We stand up to be seen and heard.
- We stand up to honor our human rights.
- We stand up to celebrate our lives.
When is it?
The march begins at the historic Martin Luther King, Jr. Center, Monday, September 4, 2006 at 10:30a.m. We will step off to march at promptly 11:00a.m., and walk to Georgia's State Capitol (approximately 1.5 miles).
We will give away 200 t-shirts to the first 200 marchers.
