Call for Film Entries

SEE US IN THE LIFE FILM FESTIVAL is Atlanta’s premier festival for filmmakers, animators and artists whose work explores topics relevant to black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities.

SEE US IN THE LIFE FILM FESTIVAL 2008 IS RETURNING AUGUST 27 – SEPTEMBER 1, 2008

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS MONDAY, JUNE 16, 2008

Regardless of film length, all submissions require a $25.00 (US) entry fee. Checks/Money Orders should be made payable to IN THE LIFE ATLANTA.

We are particularly interested in the following for SEE US IN THE LIFE FILM FESTIVAL 2008:

  1. Submissions from LGBT artist of African descent.

  2. Submissions that investigate the richness of the life experiences of LGBT of African descent originating from LGBT artists.

  3. Submissions that showcase LGBT pride domestically and/or internationally of communities of African descent.

In 2008 we also wish to greatly expand our activities to nurture new talent and are actively seeking films made by young (18-30) years of age artists and transgender artists. We also wish to greatly expand the viewing opportunities of film shorts.

SEE US IN THE LIFE FILM FESTIVAL submissions will be processed via US postal mail and applications can be downloaded here and mailed to: In The Life Atlanta, 346 Auburn Ave., Suite 126, ATLANTA, GA 30312.
